Learning to Accept Myself

In search of inner strength

Workshop designed for a group of up to 10 people. Conducted in a series of 3-5 weekly sessions lasting 1 – 1.5 clock hours each.

The workshop aims to train mindful self-compassion (self-acceptance). It is intended for individuals who want to improve their relationships with others, enhance life satisfaction, boost self-confidence, or simply experience more happiness. Self-compassion helps reduce difficult emotions such as sadness, anxiety, stress, shame, or excessive self-criticism. It aids in managing anger.

(according to compassion research conducted by MacBeth and Gumley, 2012; Zessin, Dickhauser, and Garbade, 2015; Neff et al., 2018; Hall, Row, Wuensch, and Godley, 2013)

Information provided by the facilitator regarding current knowledge on mindful self-compassion serves as a source of substantive knowledge. However, the workshop primarily involves experiential learning, thus various exercises and formal as well as informal meditation and mindfulness practices are planned. Participants are encouraged to exchange reflections on their experiences related to compassion during the workshops.
